Baker scored goals in the 30th, 34th, and 42nd minutes to take a 3-0 lead into halftime, and CMU was unable to overcome the deficit. The Lady Eagles were outshot 22-5 in the match, and CMU had just one shot on goal, compared with 12 for Baker. Freshman Meredith Brick (Chillicothe, Mo.) played all 90 minutes in goal and allowed three goals, while recording nine saves for CMU.

Central Methodist dropped to 3-5-1 overall and 0-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, while Baker improved to 6-2 and 0-1. The Lady Eagles will return to action Wednesday with a home conference match against NAIA No. 17 William Jewell College. That contest is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at Davis Field.
