Columbia, Mo. - The Central Methodist women's golf program earned a fourth place finish at the Columbia College Cougar Classic Tuesday afternoon at the Columbia Country Club in Columbia, Mo. 

The field featured 45 athletes from seven different institutions across Missouri and Iowa. 

Hailey Richard was Central's highest finisher, as the freshman from McKinney, Texas shot identical scores of 83 for a total score of 166, good enough to place 17th. Fellow freshman Mechelle Vermillion was just one stroke back at 167 as was Sarah Krenowicz. 

Senior Alea Andrade placed 23rd, followed by Riley Burns at 24th. 

Emily Strunck of Columbia College won the individual title with a total score of 153. The Cougars also claimed the team championship with a score of 641, 12 strokes better than second place Mount Mercy. 

The Eagles will be in action next at the TPC Deere Run Invitational beginning Monday, Oct. 17 in Silvis, Ill.
