Raymore, Mo. - The Central Methodist University men's and women's golf teams concluded the 2020 fall season with the Heart of America Fall Preview Monday and Tuesday afternoon at The Golf Club at Creekmoor in Raymore, Mo.

Teams featured in the early week tournament included; Baker University, Central Methodist, Culver-Stockton College, Evangel, Grand View, Metropolitan Community College, Mount Mercy, Park University, Peru State College, and William Penn. The women finished in 8th place while the men placed tenth.

On the women's side, freshman Cassandra Contreras posted another solid finish for the Eagles, firing rounds of 79 and 81, good enough for T-3 placing. Bailey Stefanski, Ashley Ritter, Lauren DuVall and Erika Whitaker rounded out the competitors for CMU. Mia Tovkach of Baker won the individual title with a total score of 156, while William Penn claimed the team title with an overall score of 644, 33 strokes ahead of second-place Baker. 

Aaron Teece was the top finisher for the Eagles on the men's side, shooting a two-round score of 160 to place T-29. Also competing for Central Methodist included; Matias Baccola, Trace Brown, Nzelu Maitha and Zach Maggart. Grand View took home the team title on the men's side, posting a team score of 599, 13 strokes ahead of second-place Park. Sam Lockhart of the Vikings won the individual championship after firing rounds of 72 and 71 for a two-round total of 143.
