MARYVILLE, Mo. - Central Methodist is in third place after the first day of the 2014 Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Women's Golf Championship which is being played at Mozingo Lake Golf Course. The Eagles totaled a 365 on the Par 72 5,805-yard course and are only three strokes off the lead, as Graceland (Iowa) and Baker (Kan.) each totaled a 362.�
Central Methodist's Alannah Hustead is�tied for sixth overall after shooting an 89 (42-47) on 18 holes on Monday. Jamie Gisburne sits in eighth place after firing a 91 (46-45). Ashley Spaulding is tied for ninth with a 92 (49-43). Allison Quigley is tied for 12th with a 93 (47-46). Jessi Norton is tied for 19th after carding a 96 (51-45).
The Yellowjackets' Ashley Jahner leads all individuals with a low score of 83 (41-42).
No live scoring will be available Tuesday, the final day of the HAAC Championship.
The winner of the event secures the league's automatic berth into the�20th Annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championship May 20-23 at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb.
