With the victories, #21 Central Methodist University improves to 31-13 overall and 13-3 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the losses, MidAmerica Nazarene University falls to 20-16 overall, and 10-10 in The Heart.

Erin Enke dominated the Pioneers in game one to earn the complete game no-hit shutout victory (15-5). Enke struckout nine batters on the day, walked one and hit two. In all, Enke used just 83 pitches in the win.

While Enke pitched well for the Eagles, so did her counterpart from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Through four innings, the Central offense was limited to just two hits.

The Eagle offense broke out in the fifth inning, striking for four runs. Leadoff batter Kylee Foster (Sturgeon, Mo.) hit a solo homerun on the third pitch of the inning to give CMU the 1-0 lead. Then following two walks and two outs, Addyson Reardon (Boonville, Mo.) hit a three-run blast to left-center to extend the Eagles lead to 4-0.

Following a quick 1-2-3, top half of the sixth inning, the Eagle offense would continue to attack in the bottom half of the inning. Central scored three more runs, on just two hits and an error by the Pioneers. All three runs came around on Lauren Geringer's three-run homerun to left field to make the score 7-0; which would end up becoming the final score just a few outs later.

Game two went played out similar to the first game, as neither team scored early. The Pioneers struck first for a run in the top of the third inning, and then Central took over. The Eagles tied the game at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. CMU then struck for four more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, and three more runs in the sixth to take a commanding lead. MidAmerica would add one more run, but Central would come out victorious 8-2 in game two.

Central starting pitcher Haley Kinnison (Lee's Summit, Mo.) earned the win (12-5), going 5.1 innings, while allowing two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and three walks. Game one starter Erin Enke, picked up the save (2), tossing a perfect 1.2 innings in relief.

Offensively in game two, Alyssa Lilly (Wentzville, Mo.) led the way at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with five RBI's. Hannah Blackmon (Beaumont, Tex.) finished 2-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored, one RBI and one walk.

Central Methodist remains at home tomorrow (Sunday), when the welcome William Penn University to town for Senior Day. The day will begin with the junior varsity teams playing at 11:30am, followed by the varsity teams at 1pm for a doubleheader. Central Methodist will honor their three seniors: Jessie Wilmes (Flint Hill, Mo.), Lauren Geringer (O'Fallon, Mo.), and Haley Kinnison (Lee's Summit, Mo.).
