FAYETTE, Mo - Central Methodist University student-athlete Radovan Kemboi (SO/Eldoret, Ken.) has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Runner of the Week.

The win comes after Kemboi earned a second-place finish at the Rocky Raven Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Benedictine College. Kemboi took second place at the event, a mere four seconds behind the individual champion of the event. He was the first Heart athlete to finish the race.

"Radovan has shown a tremendous improvement over the last twelve months," said Head Coach Mark Nelson. "We still don't think he has reached his potential yet. He had a great race in difficult conditions, and I am excited to see what he can do next."

Men's cross country will return to action on Friday, Sept 21, at the Brissman-Lundee Invite (Rock Island, Ill.).
