FAYETTE, Mo. ---- The Central Methodist men's cross country team finished fourth in the Eagle Invite at the Fayette Golf Course Saturday morning.

Elliot Knernschield once again led the Eagles with his seventh place finish, and a time of 19:56. Justin Smith crossed the finish line next for the Eagles in 14th with a time of 20:23.

Clinton Heffner (22nd, 21:04), Graham Lemmons (31, 21:18), and Joseph Bruemmer (35, 21:35) rounded out the top-five for Central Methodist in the meet.

Central Missouri won the meet with an average time of 19:53, and placed all seven of its runners in the top 16. Brice Pavey from Truman won the Invite with a final time of 19:04.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday, September 22nd, when they travel to Rock Island, Ill. to compete in the Brissman-Lundeen Invite. Race time is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
