FAYETTE, Mo. -�The Central Methodist women's cross country team capped�2011 with�its first-ever�Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship and appearance in the NAIA National Championship. The Eagle men's and women's teams are hoping 2012 ends with two pieces of hardware as the schedule was released Friday.
The Central Methodist men's and women's cross country teams will run in five races. The season begins September 1 at the Early Bird hosted by Washington University in Saint Louis.
Central Methodist will compete in the Central Missouri Invitational on September 7 and Missouri Southern Invitational on September 15 before hosting the Gary Stoner Invitational,�scheduled for October 6. The regular season will conclude October 20 with the Eagles running in the NAIA Mid-States Invitational.
The HAAC title defense for the women's squad will take place November 3 in Lamoni, Iowa. The NAIA National Championship is set for November 17 in Vancouver, Wash.
Central Methodist will�begin practice August 13.
