Eagles and Spartans End in Scoreless Draw

Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Soccer program came away with a scoreless draw against Missouri Baptist Wednesday night at Davis Field. 

With the result, Central now stands at 4-2-4 and 2-1-3 in the Heart of America. The Spartans move to 2-4-3 and 1-2-2 in conference action. 

Both sides were identical in total shots taken, as each finished the night with 12. However, MBU was able to fire off eight shots on goal against CMU's defense. 

Central on the other hand, did not register a shot on goal for the entirity of the match. 

Robin VandewalleRimon Beyene, and Pelayo Suarez each finished the night with two shots each. 

Niccolo Cabras played the first 71 minutes of action, before exiting the game with an injury. The junior made seven saves. 

Linus Bergsvag played the final 19 minutes and tallied one save to help keep Missouri Baptist off the scoreboard. 

Central will next play Culver-Stockton College Saturday, Sept. 27 at 5:00 p.m. in Canton, Mo.
