Dubuque, Iowa - The Central Methodist Men's Soccer program knocked off its second consecutive Top 25 opponent Saturday afternoon in Dubuque, Iowa.
CMU defeated No. 21 Clarke University by a final score of 2-0.
With the win, Central improves to 4-2-3 and 2-1-2 in the Heart of America. The Pride drop to 3-3-3 and 1-3-1 in conference play.
Koen Schimmel opened the scoring in the 28th minute unassisted, giving CMU a 1-0 lead. Matteo Giora provided the finishing touches in the 65th minute with his fifth goal of the year. He was assisted by Rimon Beyene.
Clarke outshot the Eagles 14-7 and 7-3 in shots on goal.
Niccolo Cabras matched his season high in saves with seven in a full 90 minutes between the posts.
CMU returns home to host Missouri Baptist University Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Davis Field.
