With the victory, Central Methodist improves to 9-1-2 overall, and 3-1-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the loss, William Penn falls to 7-4-1 overall, and suffer their first loss in conference play, dropping to 4-1-0 in The Heart.

The first half was a good half defensively for both teams. There were seven shots combined from the two squads, and after 45 minutes of play, the teams went into the locker rooms nodded at zero.
�
In the second half, the intensity picked up and the fans were treated to a total of four goals. Central Methodist got on the board first in the 52nd minute, when Richard Osterloh found Mykhael Bain to make it 1-0 in favor of CMU.

Just five minutes later, Osterloh scored a goal of his own in the 57th minute to make it 2-0 Central Methodist; thanks to a pass from Andres Manuel-Chalbaud.

William Penn hung tough, scoring a goal of their own in the 63rd minute, when Randolph Tamba found Brad Jackson to make it 2-1 in favor of CMU.

David Hillmann added a goal for good measure for CMU in the 85th minute to lock up the 3-1 victory.
�
Cameron Metcalfe picked up the victory in goal for the Eagles, while recording one save.
�
The Eagles take the week off to rest, before returning to play next Saturday October 10th at Graceland University. The men's match is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm in Lamoni, Iowa.
