Eagles And Hornets Finish In Tie
St. Louis, Mo. The Central Methodist University men's soccer team kept their shutout streak alive, but also were unable to score themselves; finishing in a 0-0 tie on Monday evening to Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, Missouri.

With the draw, Central Methodist University moves to 5-0-2 on the season, while Harris-Stowe State moves to 0-2-2 overall on the season.

The opportunities were there for us tonight," said CMU head coach Alex Nichols. "We just didn't play great. We had a million opportunities and just couldn't score."

The Eagles controlled the ball for most of the game, outshooting the Hornets 26-11. CMU also attempted 16 corner kicks in the match, to Harris-Stowe's five.

Andres Manuel-Chalbaud finished with a team high three shots on goal.

Freshman goaltender Cameron Metcalfe (3-0-1) was once again between the pipes for CMU, filling in for the injured Ferran Borras-Marques. As a team, CMU has shutout their last six opponents. The only goal that the Eagles have allowed this season, came in their season opening 2-1 victory at Mount Mercy.

The Eagles return home this Saturday for conference action with the Baker Wildcats at Davis Field. The women will get things started at 5pm, followed by the men's match at 7:30pm.
