The Central Methodist University men's soccer team announced that Jefferson City, Mo., native Will Grefrath has signed a letter of intent to play for the Eagles this fall.

"We are extremely excited to coach Will in the fall," CMU Head Coach Dan Schmidlin said. "He will represent our program very well on and off the field. Will has the capability to make a major impact immediately."

Grefrath, a defender from Helias Catholic High School, finished his high school career with back-to-back all-state honors. Grefrath was named to the second-team all-state as a junior, and received first-team honors in his senior season. He was also an all-region and all-district selection each of those years. Grefrath also served as a team captain in 2010 for Helias, who finished the season with a 12-9-1 record and lost in the Missouri Class 2 District 11 championship.

Grefrath will join former teammate Blake Wenzel, who has also signed a letter of intent to play at Central Methodist for the 2011 season.
