CMU Shut Out by Lindenwood
The Central Methodist University men's soccer team lost to Lindenwood 1-0 in the final home match of the season for the Eagles Wednesday night.

Lindenwood got off to a quick start in the match, scoring in the 10th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The remainder of the match was a defensive struggle as neither team was able to find the net.

CMU was out-shot 20-11 in the match. The Lions finished with 11 shots on goal, compared with just five for CMU. Freshman Jacob Goosey (Pleasant Hill, Mo.) had 10 saves in goal for the Eagles.

Central Methodist dropped to 6-9-1 overall and 0-7 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, while Lindenwood improved to 11-5 and 4-3. The Eagles will travel to Marshall, Mo., to face NAIA No. 22 Missouri Valley College Saturday, before closing out their season at Culver-Stockton College on Nov. 3.
