Holts Summit, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Golf program earned a third-place finish at the Railwood Invitational earlier this week at Railwood Golf Course in Holts Summit, Mo.
The two-day tournament included 83 golfers from 10 different institutions.
As a team, CMU compiled a two-day total of 590 to land in the top three. Host William Woods won the invite with a score of 581 followed by Lincoln University (588). Central's B team placed 10th with a two-round score of 643.
Sophomore Cole Wiese won his first tournament of the fall after shooting a two-round total of 139 to place first. He was two under in the first round, before firing off a single round of 69 in the second.
Cylas Worley also landed in the top five, tying for fourth with a two-round score of 144.
Other golfers competing for the Eagles included Carter Jackson (23rd - 154), Garrett Rikel (T30th - 156), Kyle Fitzpatrick (T30th - 156), John Howle (T42nd - 160), Zachary Krantz (T47th - 162), Brock Jenkins (T51st - 163), Keenan James (T51st - 163), Jackson Hackett (57th - 164), Travis Allen (80th - 194), and Hayden Deweese (82nd - 206).
Central will compete in their final fall tournament at the Columbia Cougar Invitational beginning Monday, Oct. 28 at the Columbia Country Club in Columbia, Mo.
