Fulton, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Golf program posted a first-place finish at the William Woods Spring Invitational this week in Fulton, Mo.
The tournament featured 89 golfers represented by 14 different institutions.
Central won the event with a two-round team score of 575, followed by rival Missouri Valley (582), and Columbia College (586).
Matias Baccola posted the highest finish for the Eagles, firing off rounds of 68 and 69 for a total of 137 to place third. Chad Coburn also landed in the Top 10, placing sixth with a score of 143. Luke Truter shot rounds of 76 and 70 for a 13th-place finish, and Gaite Brauns placed 21st with a score of 150.
Tomas Lopez Mazzalay finished 26th with a score of 151.
The Eagles will next compete in the Park University Spring Invitational beginning Monday, April 3 in Parkville, Mo.
