Fulton, Mo. - For the second-straight week, the Central Methodist Golf program took home the team championship, this time at the William Woods Fall Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Fulton, Mo.
The two-day event featured 59 total golfers from seven different colleges including; Central Methodist, Columbia College, Mount Mercy, State Fair Community College, Westminster College, Williams Baptist, and host William Woods.
Central won the team title with a final score of 579, just edging second place Columbia College by one stroke and William Woods by two.
Junior Aaron Teece earned a second-place finish in the event, firing rounds of 72 and 70 for a total score of 142. Luke Truter and Matias Baccola both tied for sixth with identical scores of 146, and Chad Coburn cracked the Top 10 with a score of 147.
Tiago Swart rounded out Central's top five golfers, finishing T19 with scores of 71 and 79 (150).
Central will next compete in the Columbia College Cougar Classic Oct. 3-4 in Columbia, Mo.
