Kansas City, Mo. The Central Methodist University's men's golf team played at a wet Swoop Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday in day one of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship. The Eagles played rounds one and two on Monday, and currently find themselves in 10th place.

Grand View University is currently at the top of the leaderboard with a team score of one under par. Both William Penn University and Culver-Stockton College are tied for second place at 12 over par.

Individually, Myles Pfingsten from Grand View University leads with a total score of 139 (71-68) after two rounds. Spencer Skipper from William Penn University finished just one stroke behind Pfingsten (70-70) and currently sits in second place.

Individually for the Eagles, Nick Phelps finished in a tie for 35th place with Kyle Barbee from Baker University. Phelps shot an 80 in the first round, and finished with a second round 77. Brendan Ross finished in a tie for 37th with Chad Phillips from Baker University, with a first round 82, followed by a second round score of 76. Ryan Rost is tied for 46th place, Greg Pitzer finished 51st, and Eric Vander Linden is in 55th place.

The Eagles will conclude play at the Heart Championship on Tuesday, with an 8am tee time.
