The William Woods University Owls continued their dominance on day two of the Columbia College Cougar Classic at the Columbia Country Club on Tuesday afternoon. William Woods fired a team score of 286 on Tuesday to finish play with a total score of 579. William Woods won the Classic by 23 strokes. Classic hosts Columbia College finished in second place with a total score of 603 between the two days of play.

Central Methodist was in third place after day one, firing a total score of 302. On day two, the Eagles struggled with their short game and finished with a total score of 327. CMU finished the Classic in eighth place out of nine teams.

Other schools who participated include: Culver-Stockton College, Baker University, Hannibal-LaGrange University, and Lindenwood University in Belleville.

Individually for the Eagles, Isaac Burroughs was the only golfer from CMU to finish in the top 10. Burroughs shot a 76 on Tuesday, taking his total score to 149 in the Classic; tying him for sixth place individually.

The Eagle women's golf team will take part in the Missouri Valley College Fall Tournament tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday. The MVC tournament will close out play for the Lady Eagles in the fall, before returning in early 2016 for their spring schedule.
