MARSHALL, Mo. - Jacob Williams shot a one-under 71 Tuesday to finish three-under overall and win the Missouri Valley Spring Invitational at Indian Foothills Golf Course. The Eagles finished fourth with a total of 618 (311-307).
Williams, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, outdistanced second-place finishers Tyler Barr and Cody Reiber of Culver-Stockton (Mo.) by four strokes.
The Eagles' Brendan Ross shot a three-over Tuesday to tie for 17th with a two-day score of 156. Austin Rapp tied for 22nd with a 160 (79-81). Kyle Nolawski tied for 25th after scoring a two-day total of 161 (81-80). Greg Pitzer shot an 83 on Tuesday to finish 28th with a 165.
The Eagles' Jordan Haag, playing as a medalist, finished 33rd with a 181 (91-90).
The Wildcats won the team portion after totaling a 586 (293-293).
Central Methodist will participate in the Baker (Kan.) Invitational April 15-16.
