CMU Men's Golf Finish Sixth at HAAC Championship
The Central Methodist University men's golf team ended its season with a sixth-place finish at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship Monday and Tuesday at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.

The CMU men shot a three-round total of 943 to place sixth overall. Lindenwood University shot 866 to win the HAAC title, while Evangel University shot 900 for second place.

Freshman Nathaniel Oliver (Republic, Mo.) shot a three-round total of 224 to finish sixth and earn All-HAAC honors for CMU as one of the top eight finishers. Just four strokes separated the second- through eighth-place finishers. Freshmen John Helton (Lebanon, Mo.) shot 240, Andrew Behrle (Buffalo, Mo.) shot 243, and James Kunkel (Eureka, Mo.) and Noah Kelley (Tipton, Mo.) both shot 245 in the tournament for Central Methodist.

"Every time out this season, our scores improved," Head Coach Jim Ray Kluck said. "We were very young, with all freshmen playing in the HAAC tournament. I think we have a great foundation for our future in HAAC golf."
