Men's Bowling Completes at Leatherneck Classic

Rockford, Ill. - The Central Methodist Men's Bowling program competed at the Leatherneck Classic over the weekend in Rockford, Illinois. 

The tournament, which was held at Don Carter Lanes, featured 40 college programs from around the region. 

As a team, Central posted a 33rd place finish with a final score of 6960. 

Freshman Lukas Heldenbrand was Central's highest finisher, placing 96th after bowling a five game total of 977. Brandon Groce finished 133rd with a five game total of 917 followed by Lane Hook (159th - 867). 

Senior Cole Johnson bowled four games for a total of 701 to place 231st and Dustin Linneman bowled three games for a score of 405 (302nd). 

Takudswa Mukonzamariro (337th - 316 - two games) and Declan White (383rd - 143 - one game) also competed for Central. 

The Eagles will next compete at the Columbia College Invitational beginning Saturday, Jan. 18 in Columbia, Mo.
