ESports Competes in First-Ever Heart Rocket League Tournament

Parkville, Mo. - The Central Methodist ESports program made history Saturday afternoon, as the Eagles took part in the first-ever Heart of America Conference Rocket League Tournament.

The four-team tournament was hosted on the campus of Park University in Parkville, Missouri, and featured No. 1 seeded Park, No. 2 CMU, No. 3 Missouri Valley, and No. 4 St. Ambrose.

CMU earned the No. 2 seed after finishing the regular season with a 7-1 record.

Central's team was made up of Gregory Adams, Gabriel Anderson, and Elijiah Korhammer, with both Adams and Anderson earning Heart All-Conference honors for their play in the regular season.

The Eagles fell to Missouri Valley in the semifinals in a best-of-seven series by a score of 4-2.

Saint Ambrose would go on to win the championship after defeating Missouri Valley, 4-1.
