FAYETTE, Mo – Each semester, the Student Success Office and the Learning Center at Central Methodist University analyze team average GPAs in search of the highest averages by team.

The Academic Champions award is presented by these offices to honor the team with the largest increase in GPA average at the conclusion of the fall semester. The honorees are presented with an Academic Champion t-shirt to recognize their efforts.

The Eagles Envy Dance Team won the award after increasing their team GPA by .265 points. The increase is double that of any other team on campus. CMU Dance, coached by Brenda Parisi, boasts a 3.618 team GPA.
