BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Central Methodist competitive dance team finished sixth out of nine teams Saturday in the NAIA Southeast Regional Competition, hosted by Baker University.
The Eagles finished with a grand total of 72.1875 points after the final round. Their strongest numbers came in Jazz, earning two 11.25-point marks and one 12-point mark, and the team turn segment. They also received scores of four out of a maximum five points from two judges for their choreography.
Grand View finished in 1st place with a total of 88.11667 points, followed by Mount Mercy (85.90417) and Baker (85.39583).
Central Methodist entered today's competition ranked 15th in the NAIA, and will await to hear if they qualify for the 2019 Dance National Championships in Davenport, Iowa. The announcement will come on Sunday, February 24, and will be announced on the NAIA website at 5 pm.
