Envy Dance Takes Seventh at Baker Invitational

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Central Methodist University dance team opened its competition season at the Baker Invitational on Friday evening.

The Eagles Envy Dance Team earned 66, 70.5, and 67.5 points from the three judges. The scores resulted in a 68 point sub total, but the team received a deduction of 3.5 points. The final score for the dance team was 64.5 points, securing a seventh place finish out of twelve teams.

Grand View won the competition, finishing with a total of 86.91667 points. Baker (84.58333) and Graceland (76.41667) rounded out the Top 3 finishers.

Up next for the Envy squad is the Benedictine Challenge. The competition is set for tomorrow (Feb. 2) at 2 pm in Atchison, Kan.
