Kristan Erdmann

Kristan Erdmann

Kristan Erdmann, EdD, LAT, ATC serves as the Faculty Athletics Representative for Central Methodist Athletics, and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program. Prior to arriving at Central, Dr. Erdmann was the Athletic Training Program Director at Murray State University and the Clinical Education Coordinator at Union College. Dr. Erdmann has clinical practice experience in high school, clinic, industrial, and performing arts settings.

Dr. Erdmann earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Master’s degree in Physical Education (Sports Administration emphasis) from Eastern Kentucky University in 2006. She earned her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky in 2013.

Dr. Erdmann’s research and teaching interests include behavioral health and psychosocial intervention, acute and emergency care, and wrist/hand rehabilitation. She has been involved in leadership and service throughout her professional career. She currently volunteers as the secretary for the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association, (MoATA), a peer reviewer for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), and a research grants committee member for the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA). She is also involved in leadership committees on campus and with the CMU Board of Trustees.

An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Erdmann enjoys cheering on the Eagles as well as various other teams. Her husband, Jeremy, is also an Athletic Trainer and teaches in the Exercise Science program at CMU. When not watching sports, Dr. Erdmann can probably be found reading, spending time with their dog, Lady, or biking the Katy Trail.
